Junk

I have NOTHING to write about that would take up an entire blog. So here is what's going to go down. I'm going to write a random thought or fact or thing on my mind and then move on unless I feel I have more to add.
  • I'm convinced that if I was a boy and this was movie/ TV world I would have a hot girlfriend by now. I'm plump. Basically nice and good. I'm the type of person the hot movie girls go for. And the hot movie guys always go for the pretty girl "disguised" as an ugly girl. Which makes me wonder where are the girls like me and who are they getting with? ... OH I forgot! Nobody. That's right.
  • I'm a little ball of anger lately... I'm seconds away from punching you right now I swear!
  • I missed satsuma season by about three days.
  • I don't like plying Settlers Of Catan by he real rules. I do however love settling Catan by my own rules.
  • I've noticed that there are a lot of things that I don't have in my life and am not sure that I want them at all but also can't figure out if I should want them or not. I'm realizing that my life is very different from a lot of people I know. I can't figure out if that's a good thing or not. Over all my observations have just made me more confused.

When I'm Sixty-Four

When I'm sixty-four I hope I am happy.

Speaking of happy here are some things that have made me very happy in the last few days.

  • Old Man Luedecke (Proof of Love rocks my face! I wish I had been able to catch him singing I Quit My Job at Folk Fest! I also wish I could find a copy of it to listen to at work... It would make me feel a little more free then I am.)
  • Lovely conversations with lovely boys. (Talking nonsense is the BEST! Also just having someone say lovely things is nice. ("Cause I'm going to need you all the time") I know a very sweet boy!)
  • I beat Riff Master! (However the bonus song sucked!) Fireflower with the keyboard set to rocker is the way to win though. SO fun!!
  • I read for SO long the other day. It was lovely and my book is really good. I really like Maeve Binchy. It's cool reading about places and REALLY knowing what the place is.
  • We (Amanda, Jenn, Matt and I) came in fourth in trivia at O' Han's (Harry Potter vs. LOTR ... needless to say I was useless!) It was a lot of fun though!
  • Tri-coloured bubbles!
  • I turned around at work to see Blue standing in line holding some potato salad. All he said to me was "Potato salad is so good". I smiled for the rest of the day... and am again.

There are lots of things to be happy about... if you are amused by rip off Guitar Hero games and car wash bubbles.

"If we're both not married by twenty-two

Could I be so bold and ask you?

If we're both not married by twenty-three

Will you make my year, and ask me?

~

If I get to sixty will you let me slip away

Into an armchair for the rest of my days

Cause you've got your family and I've got mine

The love that we share is for another time"

I've Just Seen a Face

The fair is here once again and in my natural way I have fallen in love.
Name- Ivan
Age- Most likely to old.... but maybe not
Occupation- Polar Express Eye Candy/ Sex God
Description- Black hair and a body I'd like to see in a suit... and out of one

In other news (that is similar) here are some things that are important in my nerdy little head.
  1. North American Midway Entertainment (NAME) has a traveling school for the children of people who travel with the show. (WHY WAS I NOT PUT INTO THIS SCHOOL????!!)
  2. NAME powers the entire midway with soy biofuels when it can.
  3. NAME donated 100 new toys to the victims of the arson fire in Edmonton that destroyed 18 neighboring duplexes.

Now usually don't have that many good things to say about NAME (being a Conklin girl myself) but I thought those were pretty decent things that NAME does.

Speaking of Conklin here are some things that are equally nerdy and interesting (most likely only to me)

  1. Conklin's Giant Wheel was the largest portable wheel in North America
  2. Conklin was founded in 1916
  3. G-Force weighs in at over 240,000 pounds
  4. In 1994 it cost $5,000,000.00 in gas to move the fair from Florida to Calgary and back
  5. All our old favorites have either been discontinued, sold or were shelved and are being kept in West Palm Beach (some being Octopus, The Kamikaze and the original Drop of Fear. Also shelved but thankfully returned were The Rainbow and The Zipper)

On a completely unrelated topic I read xkcd today and this picture nearly killed me.
